The Carson City Fire Department has maintained shared services agreements with several surrounding communities (townships) for many years. The revenue received from the township enables the Carson City Fire Department to offer additional training to its firefighters, upgrade equipment and recruit additional volunteers all of which benefits all communities served. Firefighting simply could not and would not exist without shared services.
