Description
Due to the area's remoteness to Oakland County's population centers, the northeast corner of Oakland County's public transportation needs have historically been underserved. In 2001, the North Oakland Transportation Authority (NOTA) was formed to provide local transportation services to the citizens of Orion, Oxford, Addison Townships and the Villages of Lake Orion, Oxford, and Leonard. NOTA is a free service to the residents of these participating communities. With ridership subject to qualification, NOTA caters to the transportation needs of senior citizens, mentally & physically handicapped, developmentally disabled and Welfare to Work clients.
